After an initial meeting with parents, Cathryn Learoyd will conduct a dynamic and static assessment of the child to provide the basis for an open discussion about the educational support needed. Cathryn's assessments analyse spelling and reading needs and investigate the emotional response of the child. 

We work closely with a number of Educational Psychologists, Occupational therapists and other specialists who also provide assessments. Prior to a morning with Cathryn, any reports that have previously been conducted by such specialists will need to have been send to the office for Cathryn to summarise.

We use our own assessment in combination with other specialists’ reports to prepare a tailored programme of teaching for each child. This may recommend joining our full morning or afternoon Sessions for a period of time, depending on the circumstances.
